Voyage HS Columbia
It’s quite sad for me to write about my voyage on board HS Columbia two months after the vessel was sold for scrap to an Indian buyer and probably already dismantled and cut to pieces. As a matter of fact, it’s very sad for me to admit that my ten year adventure on board Hansa vessels has come to an end due to the company’s closure and my future as a wife companion on board looks very unsure.

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. I guess you already know the lyrics of one of the most famous Christmas carols ever written and I really hope you listened to it during Christmas time – at home, with your family and friends or on board, together with your fellow seafarers.
