Entering the port of Durban
Durban is the largest city in the Province of KwaZulu – Natal and the principal port for general cargo and containers in South Africa.
The port was constructed on a low area at the mouth of two rivers – Mhlatuzana River and Umbilo River. It consists of an almost land-locked sheltered harbor entered via a single channel, marked by buoys.
Leaving the port of Dar es Saalam
Dar es Salaam Harbour is located at the head of Dar es Salaam Bay, in a sheltered inlet on the SE side of the city. It is the largest city and principal port of Tanzania, but also acts as a main port for several other countries in Central Africa, including Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia.
Entering the port of Mombasa
Mombasa is the principal port of Kenya and Uganda. It is also a main port for several other countries in Central Africa including Rwanda, Burundi, Congo and Sudan. It is situated East of Mombasa island which is occupied by the town of Mombasa, the most important town on the East Coast of Africa, from Durban to Port Said.
Entering the port of Jebel Ali
The port of Jebel Ali is the largest marine facility in the Middle East and one of the largest in the world. Its construction was completed in 1979, at that time being one of the three biggest engineering constructions in the world – along with the Chinese Wall and the Hoover Dam, in the United States.
Entering the port of Qingdao
Qingdao Gang, the port of Qingdao – also known as Tsingtao – is a port on the Yellow Sea situated on the SE side of Jiaozhou Bay. It is one of China’s principal ports and it can be approached from SW, E and S through a traffic separation scheme which is well marked with a good buoyage system.
Entering the port of Yantian
Yantian Harbour is situated in Guangdong Province in the NW part of Mirs Bay, close to the administrative border with the Hong Kong SAR. The harbour is a natural deep-water port and it is approached through Thai Peng Bay (Mirs Bay) and entered from the E. The principal berthing area consists of the Yantian International Container Terminals (YICT) in the centre of the harbour along with a basin to the West at Yantian West Wharf.
Entering the port of Ho Chi Minh City
The port of Ho Chi Minh City– mostly known by the name of Saigon Port – is Vietnam’s most important port and it is located in the southern part of the country, on the Saigon River (Song Sai Gon). There are two terminals in Ho Chi Minh City – Cat Lai Terminal and SPCT (Saigon Premium Container Terminal) – and our vessel called only Cat Lai Terminal, also known by the name of Saigon New Port.
Entering the port of Tianjin, China
Tianjin, formerly known as Tianjin Xingang, is situated on the West side of Bo Hai Gulf, at the entrance to Hai He River. It is the nearest port to Beijing and one of the busiest and most important ports in China. The port is approached from ESE and it is entered through Tianjin Gang Main Channel which is ~21 miles long and 16 -21 m deep.
Entering the port of Manila
Manila Harbour is situated at the East end of Manila Bay, at the mouth of Pasig River. Manila is the port for the Greater Manila Area, which includes Manila City – the capital of Philippines – and it is the major port of the country.
Entering the port of Le Havre, France
The port of Le Havre, at the mouth of the Seine River, is situated to the S and SE of the city of Le Havre and it is one of the most important French commercial ports and the leading French container port.
